Job Description:
Mayo Clinic, a leading nonprofit medical research and practice

Trained Medication Aide. Our dedicated team focuses on providing
integrated, holistic care to patients, supported by groundbreaking
research and education. In this vital role, the Trained Medication
Aide will administer daily medications to patients under the
supervision of nursing staff, ensuring the utmost safety and
adherence to all regulatory obligations. This position is pivotal
in maintaining the high standards of care that Mayo Clinic is known
for, making a direct impact on patient health and recovery.
Administer oral and topical medications as prescribed by the
healthcare provider. Record and document patient medication
administration accurately. Monitor patients for reactions and side
effects of medications. Communicate effectively with patients and
healthcare team members. Maintain a clean and safe environment for
medication storage and administration. Participate in continuous
education to update knowledge on medication and health care
protocols. Strong understanding of medication administration
protocols and healthcare safety standards. Excellent organizational
and communication skills. Attention to detail and precision in
handling and administering medication. Ability to remain composed
and efficient under pressure. Capability to work independently and
as part of a team. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Medication Aide (CMA)
certification required. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
preferred.
