A unique opportunity for a full or part-time Pediatric Clinical
Immunology Physician. Children's Minnesota Immunology group is the
only full-time pediatric program in the region dedicated to
treating children with inherited immune disorders.
DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW
The immunology group sees a wide spectrum of immunologic diseases,
caring for both inpatients and outpatients at our hospital sites in
St. Paul and Minneapolis. The successful candidate will have
experience in the clinical care of children with immunologic
disorders and must have a dedicated interest in providing the
highest level of up to date, evidence-driven clinical care.
Experience with genetic testing for IEI and the laboratory
evaluation of immune disorders is strongly encouraged. Experience
and an ongoing commitment to academic inquiry is highly valued for
this rapidly growing field.
Based on advancements in our field, the ideal candidate will have
additional expertise in immune dysregulation disorders and the
overlap between the fields of immunology and rheumatology.
Children's Minnesota participates in the teaching of pediatric
students, residents, and fellows from the University of Minnesota
and Mayo Clinic at all levels, and the ideal candidate will be
committed to teaching as well as life-long learning.
The immunology group collaborates closely with our established
specialty groups, especially the Genetics and Cancer/Blood
Disorders group. Children's Cancer and Blood Disorders program is
the largest in the region, caring for more than 70 percent of
children diagnosed (0-14) with cancer and blood disorders in
Minnesota and 80 percent of those diagnosed in the Twin Cities. For
children with the most severe IEIs, we collaborate with the Marrow
Transplantation team at the University of Minnesota.
The prospective candidate will become a valued addition to a
well-established and growing healthcare practice. The current team
consists of two expert clinical immunology physicians, an
accomplished pediatric immunology NP, and a highly skilled
Immunology RN. Supporting staff (MA, social work, care
coordinators) are shared with other specialty clinics.

• M.D., D.O. or equivalent degree from another country
• Depending on experience and interest in the care of children with
IEIs, the successful candidate could be BC/BE in Pediatric Allergy
Immunology, Pediatric Rheumatology, Pediatric Infectious Diseases
or Pediatric Hematology Oncology
• Completion of an ACGME Accredited Fellowship program, per
subspecialty requirements.

*Clinical competency and expertise in caring for hospitalized
children.
*Strong understanding of examination methodologies and
diagnostics.
*Knowledge of common medication, side effects and
contraindications.
*In-depth knowledge of legal medical guidelines and medicine best
practices.

national market. When determining individual pay rates, we
carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not
limited to market indicators for the specific role, the skills,
education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate,

In addition to your salary, this position may be eligible for
medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other fringe benefits.
Positions that require night, weekend or on-call work may be
eligible for shift differentials or premium pay.
