If you want to help transform communities and see families thrive, then People Serving People is the place for you.What do we need?The Senior Institutional Giving Manager leads the planning and execution of strategic grants and institutional funding. People Serving People has a strong institutional giving and corporate partnerships program that raises $1.5 million annually. This position is responsible for directing the foundation and corporate support strategy, ensuring timely grant reporting, and expanding into national funding opportunities. It will also lead institutional strategies for a future comprehensive campaign and oversee national funding pursuits. The role reports to the Director of Advancement and supervises the Institutional Giving Officer and the Volunteer and Community Engagement Coordinator. We seek someone committed to staff leadership development and experienced in securing six and seven-figure funding commitments, with broad knowledge of the Twin Cities corporate and foundation landscape. The candidate should effectively communicate our mission and foster internal and external collaboration.Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to expand institutional funding.
• Partner with the CEO and Director of Advancement to cultivate strategic institutional relationships for general operating support, capital projects, and special initiatives.
• Create and manage an annual grants calendar.
• Supervise volunteer and in-kind programs across our three sites: downtown at 3rd & Portland, St. Anne's Place, and the Center of Excellence.
• Lead strategies to secure foundation and corporate support.
• Develop and execute plans for institutional funding, collaborating with staff as needed.
• Cultivate relationships with key funders and stakeholders, resulting in six- and seven-figure investments, and communicate our mission through storytelling and other communication tools.
• Oversee grant proposal preparation and submission.
• Ensure compliance with grant requirements and deliverables.
• Monitor and report on grant-funded projects to meet funder expectations.
• Supervise and support institutional giving staff members.Requirements:

• 5-7 years of relevant experience, including at least 4 years in institutional fundraising/philanthropy.
• Experience in securing and managing institutional funding for nonprofits.
• Experience in leading a significant capital campaign.
• Strong grant proposal writing and reporting skills.
• Ability to prioritize and decline opportunities misaligned with organizational values.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and adaptive communication skills.
• Supervisory experience and a commitment to team growth.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Dedication to the organization's mission, vision, and values.
• Experience in training, public speaking, and facilitation.

  • $90,000 - $100,000 annually.
