Accurately evaluate nature and extent of work described on repair order; notifying estimator if portions of work are not necessary or additional materials/work are needed. Plan efficient work procedures using technical manuals and knowledge of surface preparations and painting techniques; arranging to obtain timely delivery of paint and necessary materials. Perform quality paint application within timeframe and material allowances as well as according to guidelines by efficiently using appropriate/allocated tools. Utilize protective supplies as appropriate to ensure cleanliness of vehicle. Operate lifting and moving devices to move materials and equipment and access areas. Responsible for cleaning, sanding, and applying chemical solutions to prepare and condition surfaces prior to painting. Mask and cover surfaces not to be painted; removing accessories such as chrome, mirrors and windshield wipers.
