Job SummaryCenterPoint Energy is looking for a CIP Administrator to
join our Team, located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. You will have the
ability to: To administer and implement energy efficiency programs
that pursue the CenterPoint Energy vision, meet regulatory and
legislative requirements, and respond to customer needs. To manage
productivity and build relationships with external vendors,
ensuring maximum performance and compliance with CenterPoint Energy
corporate goals and guidelines with regards to energy efficiency
initiatives. Play a key role in achieving program goals. Essential
Functions
- Assist with the research, development, implementation and
administration of energy efficiency projects, which are part of a
multi-million-dollar program, in a manner that upholds corporate
goals and policies and satisfies regulatory requirements. Assist
with the development of marketing plans, promotional materials, and
evaluation plans for energy efficiency projects. Reports to
CIP/Energy Efficiency Implementation Manager and is responsible for
the successful implementation of assigned energy efficiency
programs and projects.
- Builds relationships with organizations working with income
qualified customers and external vendors and to secure their active
promotion and/or participation in the energy efficiency programs
and supports management with contract negotiations and fulfillment
of vendor contracts. Assists management with the decision making
process of hiring external vendors and is responsible for
relationship and performance management of vendors delivering
services to administrator's assigned energy efficiency
programs.
- Supports the regulatory department in the preparation of energy
efficiency filings and is responsible for providing all necessary
program documentation in a manner that is clear, concise, and
complete and is conducive to favorable approval from regulatory
agencies with minimal request for additional information ensuring
that all information provided to the regulatory department is
supportable.
- Responsible for reviewing all contractor/vendor work and
approving contractor/vendor/customer payments.
- Interface with residential, commercial, and industrial
customers/sponsors participating in energy efficiency
programs.
- Performs/oversees evaluations of existing company sponsored
energy efficiency projects and communicates results to the
appropriate internal and external parties. Oversees the improvement
or discontinuation of existing programs as a result of ongoing
evaluations to ensure energy efficiency projects remain
cost-effective and provide a high level of customer
satisfaction.
- Responsible for researching the market and preparing long-term
strategic plans for each energy efficiency project and preparing
recommendations for changes and/or project modifications.
Responsible for assisting with the implementation of suggested
modifications.
- Exhibits desirable and appropriate professional behavior
including integrity, ability to learn, results orientation, ability
to interact effectively with others, acting as a team player,
leadership, sense of urgency, quality focus, and independent
judgment to provide a cohesive, productive unit dedicated toward
achievement of corporate and energy efficiency goals.
- When applicable, interfaces with state regulators, officials
and agencies involved with the oversight and/or implementation of
the energy efficiency programs. Education Description
- BA/BS in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
required. Experience
- Extensive experience developing and presenting new programs to
a wide variety of audiences and experience in project
evaluation.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and present written and oral
proposals/presentations. Ability to evaluate complex issues
independently, develop diverse recommendations/action plans and
lead multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Background knowledge and proficient comprehension of budget
planning, contract negotiations and interpretations.
- Three to five years of energy industry experience, with
specific knowledge in energy efficiency program implementation
